Another night of excellent sleep at the Elara by Hilton Grand Vacations. This hotel is delightful. The beds? Comfier than my own at home plus floor-to-ceiling windows and great views – AWESOME!

 First rule of Vegas: pace yourself. Day 2 starts slow and late — because, let’s be honest, sleep is just as important as sparkle. After all, even WanderLyn needs her beauty rest.

Every adventure starts with a flight — and in this case, from beautiful San Diego to glittering Las Vegas.

But before I even left town, I racked up steps (and a few calories) in San Diego’s brand-new Terminal 1 — which, I have to say, is now officially fabulous. This is no longer the quick-coffee-and-go kind of terminal. Oh no, this is a “linger and sip, nosh and wander” kind of place.

I finally caved. Yep — pickleball has become so popular that even I got sucked in. One day I was just minding my business, the next I was standing on a court with a paddle in my hand wondering, “Wait… what exactly is the kitchen and why can’t I stand in it?”
